To Everyone who has offered love, support and encouragement....

Thank you on behalf of all the children who are benefiting from your generosity.

Knitters- Geraldton Weavers and Beldon Uniting Church

Thank you very much to all the wonderful, generous knitters. The children were very happy to see some new jumpers and they will definitely help to keep them warm in winter. The careworkers and administration staff were very impressed with the jumpers and couldn't believe someone had knitted them for the orphans in Africa. The Beautiful Gate nurse has also kept a selection of jumpers to give to the orphaned, abandoned and sick children in the hospital as they receive very little, if anything at all, until they are either claimed by extended family members, taken to an orphanage or unfortunately pass away due to sickness and neglect. Thank you for touching these chidlren's hearts with your busy work.

Kalgoorlie Primary School, The Year 1 Wonders

This class of dedicated year 1's inspired by their teachers decided to raise funds to help the people that we have been working with in Africa.  Through cake sales and a lapathon they managed to raise an amazing $1000.  A huge effort that has made a huge difference to Beautiful Gate Lesotho Orphanage for Abandoned and HIV affected children.  The donation will be used to buy food, clothing, toys and educational resources for the 34 children in their care.  Thank you Year One Wonders!!!

Rebecca plus family and friends, Stafford's and Gran

Thank you Bec for selling chocolates to raise money for these wonderful children. Thank you to family and friends who helped her. Thank you also to Aunty Judy and Uncle Paul and Gran Creer for their donation. We spent the money on much needed nappies, shoes and tracksuit pants plus a few other essentials for the playgroup and children. It was so precious seeing the children recieve their new pair of warm winter shoes. They were so happy and so proud of them. Drying the nappies in Winter is a huge problem due to the cold, sometimes wet weather and therefore having money to buy a supply of nappies was very much appreciated. Finally we had dry, clean children!
Thank you!

Spiritual Support

Rose Owen and her mediumship group held a public performance night to raise money for our work in Africa.  They successfully raised around $300 which we have put towards buying food, blankets and warm clothes for families in need in the village of Leratong in QwaQwa.  The temperature on the mountain gets well below freezing every night now and without assistance some members of the village community could literally freeze to death.  So a big Thank You for warming the winter for many of the needy in our little villiage, it is truly lifesaving support.

A Big Thank You to my friend Francine. (29.05.08)

Francine and her family donated funds that we used to equip and setup the playgroup at Beautiful Gate.  Jodanne was able to buy lots of toys, educational resources and equipment that is used daily and appreciated by all the children here.  Previously the children only had a few old broken toys to entertain them but now they are receiving an education and having a great time doing it.  Thank you so much for all your love and support Francine.  You have made a real difference for these children.

Morning Tea with Tracy. (18.05.08)

Morning Tea raised funds to provide morning tea for the orphaned, abandoned children at Beautiful Gate. Thank you so much to Tracy and her work mates who raised $136 at a morning tea they held last Thursday. They each donated $3 and the total is greatly appreciated. As we know children need a balanced meal and here at Beautiful Gate the menu is healthy and suitable for growing children, however recently the money has been tight. With this in mind I thought the money Tracy and her colleagues raised will go to supplying morning tea for the children at Beautiful Gate. Just to let you know, at morning tea we have fruit twice a week, marie biscuits twice a week and a slice of bread with peanut butter or jam once a week. It will cost about $20 to supply morning tea for seven days for the 20 children who require it at Beautiful Gate. Thank you very much for all the support.
We greatly appreciate it. A big thank you to Tracy for organising this special donation.

Thank You to a couple of Our Fantastic Friends. (15.05.08)

On behalf of the now more clean and comfortable children we would like to say a big 'Thank You' to Siri and Kylie who each donated $50 allowing us to purchase waterproof nappy covers for all of the children and toddlers at Beautiful Gate.  A couple of weeks ago Jodanne noticed that they often wet through their nappies and wet their clothing meaning that they had to be completely changed or run around in wet pants for the rest of the day.  Jodanne was able to use the donated funds to purchase over 90 waterproof nappy covers which are now ensuring all the babies and toddlers at Beautiful Gate will remain clean, comfortable and dry for a long time to come.
Thank you Siri and Kylie for making this possible.
(It also much nicer now for us to cuddle the kids without the risk of getting a big wet spot.)

Trinity Anglican School Cairns. (04.04.08)

Thanks to the initiative and caring nature of some of the students who attends TAS in Cairns, an Easter Raffle was held and over R1600 was raised to help assist the children that we are working with.  This money will go a very long way here and help warm the winter for many of the families of this village.  As an example the money raised would be able to by more than 160 pairs of gloves, over 100 children's blankets or food for 500 meals.  We thank Trinity Anglican School for their support and applaud the initiative and dedication of their students.

Thank you and God Bless.

A Special Thank You. (30.01.08)

I received a wonderful surprise earlier this week when I received a check in the mail from the staff at Kalgoorlie Regional Hospital.  It is beautiful and encouraging when people are spontaneously so generous and loving.  The money donated will help purchase food and school supplies for the children we are working with.  Thank you so very, very much.

2007 Fundraising Activities

Thank you to all of the generous companies and individuals who supported us, your donations make a huge difference to the children they support.

The support we have received from everyone in our home town of Kalgoorlie and from friends all over the world is truly overwhelming.  Thank you all.  Without your love and support none of this would be possible.
